The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Misamis Oriental officially launched the MSME ONE Expo 2024 at Ayala Malls Centrio in Cagayan de Oro City on July 5, 2024. This notable event, organized in collaboration with the CDO-Misamis Oriental Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Development Council, and partnered by Ayala Malls Centrio, PLDT-Maya, TikTok, Grab, and Oro Integrated Cooperative, stands as a beacon for local business growth.
The MSME ONE Expo, which stands for Opportunity, Network, Exhibit, is DTI's signature trade event focused on logistics and e-commerce. This year's theme, "Breaking Down Borders and Expanding Reach . . . from MisOr to the World," encapsulates the Expo's mission to propel local businesses onto the global stage. Attendees can explore various products and services from local MSMEs while participating in expert-led sessions on logistics, supply chain management, digital marketing, and e-commerce strategies.
One of the participants is Mr. Clav, the innovative creator behind Mr. Clav Banana Vinegar. The product, made from 100% pure lakatan bananas, is rich in potassium, calorie-free, fat-free, and contains no preservatives, earning FDA approval. This unique vinegar was developed as a solution to combat banana waste, offering a delicious way to reduce food waste and support local farmers in Claveria. Besides the acclaimed banana vinegar, Mr. Clav also produces chili flakes and lakatan jam.
Adding to the excitement, Mr. Clav won first place in a TikTok video contest aimed at promoting MSME businesses. This achievement highlights the potential for MSMEs to leverage digital platforms for marketing and growth.
The MSME ONE Expo, which concludes on July 7, 2024, has successfully provided a platform for local businesses to showcase their innovations, network with industry experts, and expand their reach. The event has been a resounding success, further cementing the importance of supporting and developing local enterprises.
