Jeric Maribao, a teacher at Bagong Anonang Diut Elementary School, became an internet sensation for his caring gestures towards his students. Starting his career with a focus on creating a supportive environment, Jeric's innovative teaching methods and dedication to providing nutritious meals have captured hearts online.

Starting his teaching career in Bagong Anonang Diut Elementary School, Jeric quickly realized the importance of fostering a supportive and encouraging environment for his students. His innovative approach to education, highlighted by his vibrant welcome rituals and dedication to providing nutritious meals through his feeding program, garnered attention not just locally but also on social media platforms.  

“Lahi jud ang pupils sa bukid, mao nang nag decide ko nga mag feeding and then no need for me to say “Hey you go to school”, kay ma condition naman ilang kaugalingon nga mag feeding”

"The pupils in the rural areas really are different, that's why I decided to start a feeding program. Then, there's no need for me to say, 'Hey, you go to school,' because they condition themselves to go to school through the feeding program."

He mentioned in his interview that attracting the pupils' attention is challenging, which led him to implement a feeding program as a means to encourage school attendance.

What Jeric observed in his students is that some of them come to school hungry, with only rice corn for food, and sometimes even without anything to eat at all. It deeply saddens him, feeling a pang in his heart. This situation inspires him to strive for a better outcome, aiming to improve it significantly.

“Ang ako man jung maobserbahan sa akong mga estudyante atty. naa silay luto, mais pa jud unya wala pajuy sud an…looy kayo murag gakumuton ang akong kasing-kasaing … Mao na it inspires me to change that kind of situation, nga mas paninduton pa nakog ayu.”
